Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Knodor (“Knock on door”) processes personal information when you use our web, iOS, and Android products for residential society management. Effective date: 4 August 2026.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated through use of the platform.

• Account details: name, email, phone, unit, role, society affiliation
• Visitor & gate data: visitor names, phone numbers, vehicle plates, photos/ID captures where enabled, access codes
• Billing & payments: invoices, payment status, transaction references (card / mobile money)
• Community content: notices, complaints, marketplace listings, messages, documents you upload
• Device & usage data: app version, IP address, approximate location (if permitted), logs for security and reliability

How we use information

We use personal data to operate society features, authenticate users, process payments, send notices and safety alerts, prevent fraud/abuse, improve the product, and comply with law.

Sharing

We share data with your society’s authorised roles (e.g. managers and guards) as needed for operations; with payment and SMS providers to complete transactions and OTPs; and with infrastructure vendors under contractual safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

Retention & security

We retain data for as long as your society account requires and as needed for legal, security, and accounting purposes. We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures; see our Security Policy for more detail.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data. Society managers may handle some requests for estate-held records. See Account & Data Deletion for self-service and request options.
