Prateek Kumar— Founder & Creator of Knodor

Prateek Kumar is the founder and creator of Knodor — a full society and estate management platform built for residential communities, gated estates and housing societies in Kenya and across East Africa. Knodor (Knock on door) covers visitor gate security, billing and payments, notice boards, a resident marketplace, safety alerts, and day-to-day community operations, delivered across Web, iOS and Android from a single multi-tenant backend.

As the founder of this Kenya-based startup, Prateek envisioned a product that replaces the fragmented WhatsApp groups, paper logs and spreadsheets that most societies still rely on. Under his direction, Knodor was built as an API-first platform with MongoDB, Express, Next.js, and native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) clients — all sharing the same endpoints and real-time WebSocket infrastructure for live visitor approvals, safety pings and notifications. The platform supports M-PESA and mobile money payments built for the Kenyan and East African market.

The Knodor platform is engineered by a dedicated full stack development team.
